Hi! My name is Alexia Gonzalez and I’m a communications specialist based in Tampa Bay with a lust for life + a passion for story telling.

As far as I can remember, I’ve carried a deep love for the arts, having started acting, singing and writing at a young age. Musical theater led me to acting in English and Spanish, along with entertainment reporting and host work. My experiences on-camera eventually shifted to music, when I was able to work with Sony Records to create a Spanish-language pop single titled “Cartas De Amor,” which launched into a Billboard ranking pop song, featured on the soundtrack for the television series, Gabriel

After spending years focusing on music and television, I put performance on hold to pursue studies at Florida State University. During this time, I was able to teach public speaking in order to pay my way through my master’s degree. I was simultaneously immersed in all things media and digital studies. During my breaks, I would spend time traveling and writing, having articles published in outlets, including USA Today, Huffington Post and Haute Living. Upon graduating, I merged my skill in media studies with my passion for travel and kicked-off a career in public relations and marketing.

Upon graduating with a master’s degree in multicultural marketing and digital studies, my career in hospitality marketing and public relations took off, which has allowed me to nurture my love for food and travel in an entirely new way. I’ve been able to merge the two, traveling the world, exploring new destinations and serving as an international tour guide for key industry leaders. I also eventually made my way back on camera as a brand spokesperson, representing clients on television and syndicated radio. My career path has taught me so much about branding, sales, thinking strategically and effectively connecting with audiences, while allowing me to continue creating and storytelling.

Working remotely, I left Miami for the coastal quaintness of St. Petersburg and have experienced so much growth as a creator since moving. I’ve had the wonderful opportunity of expanding my blog and digital platform, working as a staff writer for St. Petersburg Foodies and working as a guest-host and fashion contributor on HSN. Through both my career and digital platforms, I’m able to work with brands as a spokesperson, representing clients on a range of multimedia platforms from national television to syndicated radio. My career path has taught me so much about branding, sales, strategic thinking and the importance of establishing connections with others. This work has taught me to think quickly on my feet (and in my stilettos). I look to share my personal journey hopefully as a way of positively impacting the lives of others, to entertain, inform and hopefully, inspire some new ideas for you along the way.

I decided to take a chance on myself, putting my years of expertise, skills and proven result-driven efforts in public relations and digital marketing to work for myself with the founding of The Gala Group, an integrated communications firm, specializing in transforming insights into brand building innovations and campaigns that spark conversations. We streamline stories, curate content, and create experiences designed to position brands to target key audiences and stand out of the crowded party.
